Successful site move embracing the employee first company culture

Challenge The client wanted to move a major Japanese technology company moved 350 miles south of the UK. All employees were provided their job at the new offices, but many had families to consider in the move. The client wanted every employee and their family to move with them. Given the culture and business specialism, there were significant sensitivities to consider.

Solution We kicked off the project with a three-month consultation phase, which remained confidential from both employees and competitors throughout the process. We divided the consultation phase into sections to ensure we delivered the project on time, budget, and with minimal risk. Confidentiality and risk analysis were our top priorities. We provided a detailed analysis outlining all the risks from day one through to the move itself. Not only the staff, but their families and homes were all included.

Clearview Relocation with considerable experience dealt with all the aspects of relocating the staff and families. Our facilities management experience enabled us to deal with the existing and new locations, especially as the client had excellent covenant strength. We organised terminating the existing facility’s lease and managed the relocation of all assets required in the new building. Based on location, size, and functionality agreed with the client, we researched and found a new facility, negotiated the lease, and dealt with the legal aspects, landlords, and building contractors.

Results We successfully moved the major Japanese technology company Every single employee and their family moved with them. Our solution helped the client to achieve their goals and expand their business.
